A foundation for the witch you're becoming.
🌙 Where Your Journey Begins
Starting witchcraft can feel overwhelming. There are books, herbs, crystals, tools, spells, rituals, deities, tarot cards, moon phases, and a thousand opinions about what you are "supposed" to be doing.
Baby Witch's Journey was created to take away some of that overwhelm and give you somewhere to begin.
This is a beginner-friendly course built around foundations. Instead of rushing toward complicated practices, we take the time to understand the basics, practice them, and build from there.

Your first lesson is completely free. This gives you the opportunity to meet Mosswyn, experience a Willowbane class, ask questions, and decide whether you would like to continue your journey with us.
You don't have to know anything before you walk through the door.
🌿 What This Journey Builds
The course introduces the foundations that can support a personal magical practice, including:
- Understanding witchcraft and finding your starting point
- Grounding and centering yourself
- Becoming aware of energy and learning how to work with it
- Cleansing and creating energetic boundaries
- Shielding and personal protection
- Working with the elements and cardinal directions
- Understanding and casting a magical circle
- Creating and working with an altar
- Consecrating and charging magical tools and spaces
- Exploring moon magic
- Beginning divination practices such as tarot and oracle
- Learning the foundations of spellcraft and ritual creation
🕯️ Learn by Doing
Willowbane isn't meant to be a place where you simply sit and listen to someone talk about witchcraft. We learn through discussion, guided exercises, demonstrations, reflection, and hands-on activities.
Some practices will be done together during class, while others give you something to explore between lessons. Questions are encouraged. Curiosity is encouraged. Changing your mind as you learn is encouraged too.
🌿 Your Own Path Matters
There isn't one single way to be a witch. The purpose of a beginner course isn't to hand you a list of rules and tell you exactly what your practice has to look like.
It is to give you enough knowledge and experience to begin making informed choices about your own path.
You may discover practices that resonate deeply with you and others that don't. That's part of the journey.
🌙 How the Course Works
- Live online classes: We meet through Microsoft Teams.
- Class length: Approximately 1½ hours, depending on discussion and attendance.
- Class size: New groups are limited to 25 students.
- Payment: Weekly after the free introductory lesson.
- New groups: New student sessions are planned monthly, depending on availability and enrollment.
